Burn-Out Printing

What is Burn-Out Printing?

Burn-out printing is a fabric printing technique that combines the principles of burn-out and screen printing. It involves selectively removing or weakening certain fibers from a blended fabric using a chemical paste or heat, creating a pattern or design. The burn-out printing process typically starts with applying a layer of chemical paste to specific areas of the fabric. The paste reacts with and dissolves the targeted fiber component, resulting in a semi-transparent or sheer pattern. The fabric is then screen printed with desired colors or patterns to enhance the design. Burn-out printing allows for intricate and visually striking designs on fabric.
