Bar Tacking
What is Bar Tacking?
Bar Tacking is a sewing technique used to reinforce areas of stress or strain in a garment or textile product. It involves sewing a series of closely spaced stitches back and forth to create a compact and secure bar-shaped reinforcement. Bar tacks are commonly used at points such as pocket openings, belt loops, buttonholes, or areas prone to high tension to strengthen the fabric and prevent tearing or unraveling. Bar tacking can be done manually or with the help of specialized sewing machines equipped with bar tacking functions.
